Key-pa-Way is a 4-player minigame in Mario Party. It is based off the real-life game Keep Away.
Gameplay[]
The players must team up to win. One player gets a key while everyone else has to intercept the key like a team. If one of the five Spike Koopas gets the key, the game ends with a "Miss". If the player with the key reaches the key lock, all the players win, earning ten coins.
In Mini-Game Island, however, the results are quite different. The player must be the one to open the door in order to clear this minigame. If a Spike Koopa gets the key or if one of the three CPU characters open the door first, the player loses his or her life.
Controls[]
- – Move
- – Jump
- – Throw key
