Look Away is a 1-vs-3 minigame in Mario Party 2.

Gameplay

Each participant is just the head of the player. After a short jingle plays, the single player must look either up, down, left, right, or straight ahead, accomplished by pushing the control stick in a given direction or not at all. Using the same controls, the team of three must avoid looking in the same direction as the single player.

If one of the team of three looks in the same direction as the single player, their head shrinks, and an "X" appears above it. This player is then eliminated. If a team player loses multiple times, their head shrinks even further. It is possible for more than one player to lose in a given round. The game ends either when the team of three loses, or if one or more members of their team is still in the game after five rounds. If the single player wins, they dance by bopping their head from side to side, and the team frowns below while spinning and shrinking. If the team of three wins, they dance, and the single player's head spins, shrinks, and disappears. The objective of the lone player trying to eliminate the other three while the three players have to survive five rounds would later be used again in the mini-game Fight Cards in Mario Party 5, albeit with buttons determining the actions made instead of the control stick.

In the Mini-Game Coaster, the lone human player always plays against the team of three. To win, the human player has to eliminate all three opposing players.
