Shell Shocked (known as Tread Carefully in Mario Party Superstars) is a 4-player minigame that appears in Mario Party 2, Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars.
Gameplay[]
Each player has to be the last standing by shooting their opponents in their tanks, which are shaped as Koopa Shells. Those who are shot twice are eliminated. The stage also has warp pipes as obstacles, which can vary depending on the stage.
Stage 1 has a single pipe in the center of the stage, Stage 2 has a pipe in the center adjacent to each wall, while Stage 3 has a pipe in the center surrounded by eight additional pipes scattered throughout the course. If all four players are knocked out, the minigame ends in a draw.
In the Mini-Game Coaster, the stage that is used is dependent on which skill level is being played; Stage 2 is used for Normal mode and Stage 1 is used for Hard mode. In the final level, Stage 3 is used with the player going up against three Baby Bowsers in a final battle.
